About Valyra
Valyra is a warm compassionate therapist with over 25 years experience working with individuals, couples, seniors, families and groups. She received her Master's Degree from the University of Nevada Las Vegas, School of Social Work and is Licensed by the Maryland State Board of Social Work Examiners.
Valyra started her career as a therapist working for Child Protective Services, helping families with children who have been abused, to heal and stay together. She also ran the Social Work Dept. in a hospital inpatient behavioral health unit serving severally traumatized patients. In addition, she worked with Seniors in assisted living facilities, as well as several Behavioral Health Agencies, before going into private practice in 2012.
Valyra is a trauma therapist and received her certificate in Trauma Treatment from the Lisa Ferenze Institute in 2017.
Valyra has been a spiritual counselor and a member of SRF (Self Realization Fellowship) since 1991. She studied spirituality, enlightenment, and meditation intensely with SRF for 5 years. In 1996 she continued her spiritual studies however, by way of many different approaches and therefore has achieved a wealth of knowledge on the topic over the last 30+ years of learning and meditating, so much so that she has been a guest speaker at several spiritual events.
Valyra is a Regression Therapist and does Past Life Regressions to help her clients heal from any trauma they may have brought with them from a prior lifetime. She does this through an Alpha state of hypnosis. She was certified in hypnosis and Past Life Regressions by world-renowned expert Brian Weiss, MD. Author of Many Lives Many Masters, in 2008.
